Predominantly Trupillo and Quebracho trees are used. These are species notable for the high density and excellent quality of the resulting product. The wood is hard and heavy, while the leaves are soft, smooth, and light green. Conversion Process: The process ensures the final product has the correct carbonation level and other required properties: Color: Glossy Black; Carbon Content: 98%; Maximum Moisture: 7-9%; Solid Char Range: 80%; Cooking Time: 3-5 hours; Ash: 2.5% - 5.2%.
